Three dimensions

Unlike conventional two-dimensional radiographs, CBCT provides a three-dimensional view of the jaws, allowing assessment of bone, teeth and nerve canals from any angle.

Like all imaging, it is requested when the clinical question justifies it, balancing diagnostic value against radiation exposure.
